Your data is safe with us

Privacy is a matter of trust and your trust is important to us. We respect your privacy. The protection and the legally compliant collection, processing and use of your personal data is therefore an important concern for us. In order to make you feel safe when visiting our websites, we strictly observe the legal provisions when processing your personal data and would like to inform you about our data collection and data usage.

Scope and purpose of the data processing
1. Anonymous data collection

You can visit our site without giving any personal information. We store only so-called “server log files”, access data without personal reference such as the name of your Internet service provider, your Internet browser used, the page from which you are visiting us, the date and time of your access or the name of the requested file. These data are evaluated solely for the purpose of improving our offer and do not allow any conclusion to your person.

These anonymous data are stored separately from any personal information that you may provide and do not allow any conclusions to be drawn about a particular person. They are evaluated for statistical purposes in order to optimize our website and our offers. The legal basis for the temporary storage of the data and the “server log files” is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation). Storage in log files is done to ensure the functionality of the website. Data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer necessary for the purpose of its collection. In case of collecting the data for providing the website, the data are deleted when the respective session ends.

2. Collection and processing of personal data

If you wish to use a service of our company via our website, it cannot be excluded that the processing of personal data will be required. If there is no legal basis for the processing of personal data, we will obtain the consent of the person concerned. This will be visible in appropriate places. This may be required if you register on our website, request our newsletter or contact us via our contact form. The legal basis for processing operations for which we obtain your consent for processing purposes is Art. 6 I lit. a) GDPR. If the processing of personal data is required to fulfill a contract or to initiate a contract (e.g. for the delivery of goods or the provision of such services, or for inquiries regarding our products and services), the processing is carried out in accordance with Art. b) GDPR.

We store and use personal data transmitted by you such as name, company, address, e-mail and telephone for the purpose of individual communication with you in accordance with the Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the “FDPA new”. Please note that generally no confidential information should be sent via the contact form.

The legal basis for the processing of the data transmitted in the course of sending an e-mail is Article 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. If the e-mail contact aims to conclude a contract, then additional legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR.

3. Cookies

Among other things, our website uses so-called “cookies”, which serve to make our website more user-friendly, effective and secure – for example, when it comes to speeding up the navigation on our platform. Additionally, cookies enable us to measure the frequency of page views and general navigation. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer system. We point out that some of these cookies are transferred from our server to your computer system, which are mostly so-called “session cookies”. “Session cookies” are characterized by the fact that they are automatically deleted from your hard disk after the end of the browser session. Other cookies remain on your computer system and allow us to recognize your computer system on your next visit (so-called persistent cookies). Of course you can refuse cookies at any time, if your browser allows it. However, we point out that in this case not all functions of our website may be fully used. When you visit our website, you will be informed about the use of cookies for analysis purposes and your consent to the processing of the personal data used in this context will be obtained. In this context, a reference to our privacy policy is contained. The legal basis for the processing of personal data using technically necessary cookies is Article 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. The legal basis for the processing of personal data using cookies for analysis purposes is, if you have given your consent, Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR.

4. Newsletter Sign up

After signing up for the newsletter, you will regularly receive interesting offers via e-mail. Your e-mail address will not be shared with other companies. You may revoke your consent to the use of your e-mail address for advertising purposes at any time with effect for the future by clicking on the “Unsubscribe” link at the end of the newsletter or unsubscribing in the members area under “Customer Area” > “Subscribe or Unsubscribe Newsletter”.

By registering for our newsletter, we store your IP address, the date and time of your registration. This is done for the case that a third party abuses your e-mail address and subscribes to our newsletter without your knowledge, as a hedge on our part. Further data will not be collected on our part. The data collected in this way will be used exclusively for the receipt of our newsletter. A passing on to third parties does not take place. A comparison of the data collected with data, which may be collected by other components of our site, is also not done. You can cancel the subscription to this newsletter at any time. Details can be found in the confirmation e-mail as well as in each individual newsletter. For the processing of the data, your consent is obtained during the registration process and reference is made to this privacy policy. The legal basis for the processing of the data after the user has registered for the newsletter is the consent of the user Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. The legal basis for sending the newsletter as a result of the sale of goods or services is § 7 Abs. 3 UWG (Law Against Unfair Competition). The data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer necessary for the purpose of its collection. Your e-mail address will therefore be saved as long as the subscription to the newsletter is active.

5. Registration

On our website you have the opportunity to register for the customer forum by providing personal data. The data required in the course of this registration can be seen from the entry mask of the registration form.

With your registration we store your IP address, the date and time of registration. In case of a third party abusing your e-mail address and abusing our service without your knowledge, this serves as a hedge on our part. Further data will not be collected on our part. A transfer to third parties does not take place, as long as there is no legal obligation for passing them on or it serves a criminal prosecution.

You have the option to change the personal data given at registration at any time or to have it completely deleted by us, taking into account retention periods based on laws and / or tax laws.

Your registration is required for the provision of certain content and services on our website. Legal basis for the processing of the data is in the presence of the consent of the user as per Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. If the registration serves the fulfillment of a contract of which the user is a party or the implementation of pre-contractual measures, an additional legal basis for the processing of the data is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR. The data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer necessary for the purpose of its collection.

6. Use of plugins

Matomo (formerly Piwik)

We use the web analysis service Matomo on our website. This is based on our legitimate interest in the statistical analysis of user behavior for optimization and marketing purposes as per Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. Matomo uses cookies for this analysis. If individual pages of our website are called, the following data is stored:

  • Two bytes of the IP address of the calling system of the user
  • The visited website
  • The website from which the user came to the called website (referrer)
  • The subpages that are called from the called web page
  • The length of stay on the website
  • The frequency of calling the webpage

The software is set in a way that the IP addresses are not completely stored but 2 bytes of the IP address are masked (eg: 130.75.xxx.xxx). In this way, an assignment of the shortened IP address to the calling computer is no longer possible. The anonymisation of the IP address sufficiently takes into account the interest of users in their protection of personal data.

Cookies are stored on the computer of the user and are transmitted from this on our side. Therefore, as a user, you have full control over the use of cookies. By changing the settings in your internet browser, you can disable or restrict the transmission of cookies. Cookies that are already saved can be deleted at any time. This can also be done automatically. If cookies are disabled for our website, it may not be possible to use all the functions of the website to the full.

Matomo supports the “Do Not Track” function of current web browser. If you want to prevent the analysis of your web behavior in general, we recommend that you activate this option in your browser. For more information on the privacy settings of the Matomo software, see the following link:matomo.

Typekit by Adobe

Our website uses Typekit from Adobe Systems Software Ireland Limited. When you visit our website, these fonts are loaded into the browser cache by your browser for the correct display of the fonts. To do this, your browser connects to the Adobe servers. We use these fonts to display our website in an attractive way. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f) GDPR. If your browser does not support these fonts, your computer will use a standard font.

As part of providing the Typekit service, we do not place or use cookies on websites to provide fonts. To provide the Typekit service, Adobe can collect information about the fonts that are being served to your site. The information may include:

  • ID of the typeset
  • JavaScript version of the typeset (string)
  • Type of typeset (string “configurable” or “dynamic”)
  • Account ID (identifies the customer of which the typeset is)
  • Service that provides the fonts (e.g. Typekit or Edge Web Fonts)
  • Application which is requesting the fonts (e.g. Adobe Muse)
  • Server providing the font types (e.g. Typekit server or Enterprise CDN)
  • Host name of the page on which the fonts are loaded
  • The time it takes the web browser to download the fonts
  • The time from downloading the fonts with the web browser to use the fonts
  • Whether an Ad Blocker is installed to determine if the Ad Blocker is interfering with the proper tracking of page views

Adobe uses information from third party websites that use Typekit fonts to provide the Typekit service. The information is also used to diagnose delivery or download issues and to pay font manufacturers.

For more information on Typekit by Adobe, see the Adobe privacy policy at Typekit .

Integration of services and contents of third parties

It may happen that content from third parties, such as videos from YouTube, maps from Google Maps, RSS feeds or graphics from other websites are integrated within our pages. This always presupposes that the providers of this content (hereinafter referred to as “third party provider”) perceive the IP address of the users. Because without the IP address, they could not send the content to the browser of each user. The IP address is therefore required for the display of this content. We endeavor to use only content whose respective providers use the IP address solely for the delivery of the content. However, we do not have any influence on this if the third parties save the IP address, e.g. for statistical purposes. As far as we know about it, we will inform users correspondingly.

7. Publication of job advertisements / online job applications

Your application data will be electronically collected and processed by us for the purpose of processing the application process. If your application is followed by the conclusion of a contract of employment, your data transmitted can be used for the purpose of the usual organizational and administrative process to store them in your personnel file in compliance with the relevant legal requirements. The data protection law allows the collection of the data required to justify the employment relationship according to Section 26 (1) sentence 1 “GDPR-new” i.V. with Art. 88 (1) GDPR,. If you voluntarily inform us about things concerning your person beyond what is necessary, this is done within the framework of a consent pursuant to Art. Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR. As part of the processing, your data may be transmitted to persons within our company, as well as service providers who are bound by contract and are required to maintain secrecy and perform subtasks of data processing.

The deletion of the data transmitted by you takes place with rejection of your job application automatically two months after announcement of the rejection. This does not apply if, due to legal requirements (for example, the burden of proof according to the General Equal Treatment Act), a longer storage is necessary or if you have expressly consented to a longer storage in our prospect database.

8. Rights of the persons affected

According to the Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the right to free information about your stored data. In addition, you have the right to place legal remedy at a supervisory authority. Furthemore, you have the right to revoke your privacy statement at any time. The revocation of consent does not affect the legality of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent until the revocation.

9. Transferability of data

You have the right to receive the personal data originating from you. At your explicit request, we will provide this information in a machine readable and structured format. For this, the proof of your identity is required.

10. Data security

Your personal data will be encrypted when you register and use the customer forum and use our contact form on our website via TLS via the Internet. We secure our website and other systems by technical and organizational measures to prevent your data from loss, destruction, access, modification or disclosure by unauthorized persons. Access to your customer account is only possible after entering your personal password. You should always keep your access information confidential and close the browser window when you stop communicating with us, especially if you share a public computer or use the computer with others.
